pub enum Value {
Str {
off: u32,
len: u32,
},
Int(u64),
Signed(i64),
Empty,
}Expand description
A typed cell. Str points into the owning Table’s arena (no lifetimes, no heap).
Variants§
Str
A string, stored as an (offset, length) into the table’s arena.
Int(u64)
An unsigned integer.
Signed(i64)
A SIGNED integer: a reading that can be below zero. Pulled into existence by wifi list, whose
signal is in dBm - always negative - and is the raw fact (utilities/0_conventions.md rule 7):
the magnitude would be a different number, and a string would sort by bytes, which orders
-9 after -80. Its own variant rather than a change to Int, so every count, size and tick
keeps the type it had. Compares numerically with Int (sort, where) and is reduced by the
aggregators through cell_num_wide (i128); only the u64 cell_int accessor refuses a negative.
Empty
An absent / null cell.
